Muggle Soldier Dragged To Ministry of Magic

At 11.37pm last night, the Minister for Magic, Ernest Aberwith was ushered to the Ministry of Magic to discover a bound and gagged muggle military soldier in the foyer.

Ministry officials have thus far refused to comment on the presence of the muggle or what happened when he was taken in for questioning. What we can report is that the muggle has not been mistreated and they are looking to keep him at the Ministry for the forseeable.

Close members of Aberwith's staff have reported that there were no thefts from the premises but instead, damages of over 300,000 galleons to the property. This included many of the security measures put in place during the war against Voldemort. These were contracted security measures installed by local experts such as Bullstrode Burgular Defences.

There were no calling cards left by those responsible and Aurors are still policing the area for any clues. It is thought that those responsible broke in via a service entrance and overwhelmed on-site security Wizards who were found in a broom closet, too confused and disoriented to report on their assault.

The Minister of Magic has sworn to get to the bottom of those responsible for this break-in but it is not yet clear if the Minister has been in contact with the Muggle Prime Minister regarding this event.
